About us:

Blessing Way Miniatures is a privately funded “mini” ranch where miniature horses and miniature donkeys are given a home and a purpose as literacy advocates. Their purpose is to encourage children and adults to READ and to LEARN of the people, places and events that have shaped the history of the West and also Biblical history. Each horse is a book ambassador, having a set of books on certain subjects that they represent. Book and activity packets are available to those who would like to sponsor a horse or donkey. Sponsorship cost at this time is $50.00 a year per horse or donkey. The literacy packets consist of a tri-fold denim cover with book, activity book or sheets, and information about the specific horse/donkey sponsored. The literacy packets are a way to help support each equine’s monthly expenses and the literacy programs. Books vary depending upon availability and not all books are new.

We go into schools, churches, libraries, senior centers, museums, etc...anywhere where the love for reading can be fostered. Please contact us by e-mail or regular mail for a complete informational brochure about each horse/donkey and their specific literacy packet. Note: We have 20+ miniature horses and miniature donkeys, all with different literacy packets.

Theresa and Bill are also professional photographers. Equine/Western Fine Art Photographs and Western Heritage Quilts are available to purchase. Also, Equine/Human Connection Portraiture. Photo sessions are available within local Colorado area. Profits from the sales of photographs and quilts also go to help offset the monthly expenses for the horses and donkeys. *From time to time due to limited space we need to sell some of our miniature horses and miniature donkeys. All horses are registered with AMHA and/or AMHR. Some of the donkeys also have papers from various donkey registries. If interested in becoming a “forever home” please contact us to see if we have any that might be available.
