ABOUT US...
We have been in the Mini business since 1996. Like a lot of miniature horse owners, we started with 2 and have been growing in numbers. Our farm has 12-20 running around at all times.
We have switched to APPY breeding and have the honor of owning "ROCKING K KOLORS", AMHA 127917, AMHR 221847A (LOTSA KOLORS). Kolors is a Snow Cap, true Black Appy 29”, foaled 2001, who is also a FALABELLA Blend (more info on him can be found on our Stallions page.)
Crooked Barn got its name because our barn is a LITTLE CROOKED. With one bad eye and a few beers, the frame was erected a little off center. The minis don’t complain! We are located 90 miles east of Asheville, NC, and about 60 miles north of Charlotte, NC. The surroundings are fantastic for the mid south life and minis only ENHANCE our 3 acre farm. Our neighbors are excellent, as time to time we are in need of extra pasture and they are always very accomodating.
Come take a look at the quality of AMHA minis that are being offered for sale. Although we DO NOT show our stock, the quality and colorful show type is positively there. We do involve the minis in community service which includes visiting nursing homes, assisted living facilities and day care centers. Each mini has DAILY ON HANDS and gets BONUS time when visitors and neighbors stop by to see the new ones and play with their favorite ones. All are UTD on shots, worming etc.
