Nic was our first mini and our ALPHA mare.  She is being bred to our new stallion, RUNNING CREEKS DOTS MY BUCKAROO, a black leopard app (BLUE EYES) for a 2011 foal.

“MA BEL” as she is affectionately referred to here, is being bred to our black Appy Stud, "BLUE EYES" for a 2010 foal.  MA BEL’S pedigree goes directly back to ORION IMAGE (SIRE) and (GRANDSIRE) ORION LIGHT VANT HUTTENEST.  Ma BEL is 18 and will be bred back for a 2011 foal – she produced a COLT--CROOKED BARN FARM LIL YOKI- A BAY APPY.

ECHO is a falabella blend (CHIANTI grandsire) mare.ECHO has outgrown her AMHA papers (35 ½") but would make an excellent driving mare or outstanding broodmare. Currently open.

MABEL for short.  She is running again with BLUE EYES FOR 2011 FOAL.  She produced a lil pinto colt, CROOKED BARN FARM LIL TWO COLORS in April 2010.

Sequioa is loaded top and bottom with appy bloodlines and has for us, produced 2 fillies - KACHINA & NIOTA, both are STAMPED APPY.  She is with BLUE EYES (our stud) and look forward to another appy filly in 2010.  She produced an outstanding little colt in April 2010.  CROOKED BARN FARM LIL CHIEF JOSEPH.  She is also being bred back for 2011.

SIERRA  has ALL the markings and colors that we are trying to achieve here.  She is 32 ½” and is bred to BLUE EYES for a late summer foal.  She is a Falabella blend , with CHIANTI bloodlines on top and ORION on the bottom.

CHICK has added roaning and more spots since last year.  Right at 34” , she is being exposed to BLUE EYES  for a 2011 foal.  A Falabella blend, we are hoping for many years with her.  We lost her dam (CHERRY) to cancer last year. Easy going with unique personality- she does excellent when community service time calls.

SIMONE has a super head and neck that we hope she will pass on to her future foals.   She will be running with BLUE EYES soon.  This Falabella filly has added spots and mottling on her muzzle and eyes since last year.  SIMONE is due soon with her late May/early June 2010 foal.

KACHINA is small (29” at 2 ½ years old) and will STAY UNDER 30”.  She has excellent appy bloodlines both top and bottom and kick in 25% Falabella blend.  Kachina keeps adding the appy color and is very easy going

NIOTA is a  full sister to KACHINA, and has several generations of top of the line appy breeding behind her.  She is appying out very nicely and we feel, should look a lot like her dam (SEQUOIA) when she matures.   FOR SALE!

CIQALA has changed colors this year, and has added plenty of roaning and several spots.  Has both CHIANTI & ORION bloodlines, her dam (SWEETWATER SANABEL) is lab tested for the color gene.  She should mature 31” area.   FOR SALE!
 

 

MOSES & RALPH were recently added to the family. They are SICILIAN GELDED JOHNNIES and are half brothers and are about 4 yrs old in these photos. We bought them for herd protection, as we have heard/seen coyotes!
