Good parents aren't supposed to have
favorites, but if I ever had to sell my farm, this would probably be the
last mare to leave. Snickers is my spirited and spunky little blue roan
pinto. She came just for a visit from my friend Randy's farm and quickly
stole my heart! Her sire is a gorgeous homozygous stallion, Crooked Barn
Farm Bels Little Joe and her dam is Dell Teras Nic of Time, one of my very
favorite mares at Crooked Barn Farm. Snickers will follow you anywhere and
even catnaps with me in the pasture on lazy summer days! Come pay her a
visit and you'll fall in love too!
Snickers was bred to Golden
Meadow Boogie Baby for 2007 and foaled a beautiful pinto colt, Triple Trees
Rowdy Little Booger . Check him out on our

Maplewoods Fantasy

"Molly" comes from proven royal bloodlines.
Her sire is Apple Tree Derby's Moon Dansir, who was a National Champion
as a weanling, a Reserve National Champion Futurity Junior Stallion and
the AMHR National Grand Champion Senior Stallion in 2000. Her granddam
is Grand National Champion Mare, Apple Trees Derby Girl. Molly's
grandsire is non other than National Champion, Brewers Moon Dust and she
carries his gorgeous head and frame. Everyone always asks why we don't
show her and we simply haven't had the time, but she should be shown and
may make the ring yet!
Molly took 2007 off but
is being bred to Superboy for 2008.

Grosshills Bright Angel
AMHA 71115, 30" Angel
is a our very first mini mare. She came with the farm and she will
always have a home with us. She is a proven producer and the most
gentle and kind horse on the farm. I sit my one year old little cowboy,
Paul on her back and he squeals with delight....but I'm still not sure
who's having more fun...him or Angel! She is the kind of horse that
brightens your day and is always there to give some kisses!
We are breeding Angel to Superboy for a 2008 foal.
Cindy
AMHA 21992, 29" This
is one of Frank's favorite mini stories. We attended a production sale
in VA and Cindy was my favorite horse in the dispersal. She was also
the last one in the sale. According to my husband, he looked back and
"my bottom lip was stuck out" so he raised his hand...and she quickly
became ours! Cindy is almost 20 years old and loves to nanny the
little ones. She is a treasure and we love having her here!
